Some of the reviews were sketchy, but I went anyway. The place was really nice and was clean. The menu had some good options and the staff was friendly. Our server Kelly was really sweet, talkative, and helpful. The Mahi Mahi and flounder were fresh daily. I had the blackened Mahi tacos and they were great! Try their house hot sauce. It had a great flavor with some good heat. To all those who cried about the wait...RELAX! The place is beautiful with a calm atmosphere, just enjoy yourself.

Pretty location but there are a lot of mosquitos and they have nothing outside to keep them away. The food was completely over priced for how cheaply made and bad the food was. The chicken and Mahi were both completely dry. I would recommend caps on the water any day over aunt kates. I will never go back.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Saint Augustine. Everything is always delicious and on point every single time. Have not been disappointed once yet *knock on wood*. In love with their gator tail, the kids even love it! Their mac and cheese is to dieeeee for!

The food was excellent. Fast service and beautiful view. I had the mahi mahi fish sandwich twice!! My daughter loved the gator tale,( first time trying it) my wife loved everything that we ordered. We loved this place. Oh!! Their signature hot sauce is to die for. Thank you Jason for all your help. Until next time.

Aunt Kate's is a neat restaurant but unfortunately not too exciting. Food is decent, atmosphere is nice. Just a generally unremarkable experience...but I could eat my weight in that pumpkin bread. YUM.

Excellent food right on the water. I don't understand all of the spotty reviews for this place because I absolutely loved my experience here. We had perfect seating outside on the deck overlooking the water. Very romantic if you're looking for a place to manifest those feelings and the food did not disappoint. We were promptly seated and I ordered fried green tomatoes and the calamari for apps with their flavorful sauces. They were shared with my sister and her husband and were gone within minutes. The bread basket is also free and so yummy! For my main, I ordered their fish tacos (you get three) with a side of cheese grits and black beans & rice. It was served with a southwestern chipotle sauce that tied everything together. Fresh and flavorful! The food was served in perfect timing and all of the dishes I saw coming out looked amazing. Really good home-cooked meals with good sized portions. The pitchers of beer were only $7 of which we had three and you can't really beat that gorgeous view of the sun setting on the water. Our server was Ariel and our entire service was excellent. She was a real sweetie. This is the type of place to go and relax, eat a good meal and enjoy the real Florida. When you're done with dinner and there's still light, go explore the grounds. The little beach and mini marina is way too adorable to miss. And I hear they provide free live music most days and for the money, Aunt Kate's is well worth the trip to Vilano Beach to experience this little gem of a restaurant where the locals go. FYI: The coconut salt scrub used in the bathrooms is amazing. A very nice touch. Your hands will smell faintly of coconuts and be as smooth as butter after using it. The also sell it for like $26 a jar. Make sure you check that out when you go. :)

Still one of my favorite hideaways, absolutely beautiful during sunset. My wife and I often make the drive down from Jacksonville, just to have a rum runner, and watch the sunset. Watch out for that bread basket they bring out before the meal, it could become addicting. Come by Sunday nights, and see our favorite waitress, Ariel.

We visited with our family visiting from out of town. There were 9 of us including 3 children. We ordered a variety of items from the menu and everybody liked their meal. I ordered the Perlo ( pronounced this way but not spelled this way) and Minorcan chowder. It seemed like the thing to do. The chowder was OK; I've had better and the Perlo was tasteless at first but subtle flavor arrived on my taste buds over time and I'd suggest it if you're looking for an authentic local flavor. Service was a little slow at times otherwise I would have rated the visit 4 stars.

We had a great time - even with the almost too relaxing live music! Thanks to our server Stacy who made our meal even better. I had been going to Cap's and never tried Aunt Kate's... what a mistake! I think this is my favorite from now on. Great location, great view. We really enjoyed ALL OF OUR FOOD! See you again soon!

Great atmosphere and place to watch the sunset or a storm rolling in. Had a Sweetwater 420 and the fried alligator tail and it was just so so. The beer was lacking head and flavor I remember and the gator bites had a great breading and dipping sauce but I couldn't taste the gator meat. It is a good place to visit but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food or beers.

I ate here with my entire company for our Christmas party. I have no complaints. The service was good considering our large party.

The location is perfect, the food was a disappointment. There is no consistency in the food or the service (check out the other reviews ) how southern is Johnny cake and corn bread is bigger than1" square. Never saw a manager or was asked how we liked the food. Poor quality control. What a shame this is the most beautiful place.

I'm not usually one to care much about a restaurant's atmosphere, but this place is beautiful. Overlooks the water with access to a small beach area and has an awesome old timey bait shop attached to it. Most of the food was average, but there were bright spots. Started off with the Gator Tail which was very tender but was a little bland. The orange cream sauce was very unique and tasted great. I got the blackened fish tacos which will not impress you by looks. They almost look nasty, but once you bite into them, they will surprise you but not to much as they were average for a restaurant. Again the sauce, southwest ranch, with them was good. I also got the fried shrimp which were good but no where near the level of O'steens, so I would go for something else. My dad got the Minorcan Chowder which was a little thin and lacked some vegetables but the broth tasted good. The crab cake that my dad got was fantastic though. Very full of tasty crab and not too many fillers. Tasted great on its own but the key lime sauce with it took it to another level. The sides we got (macaroni, collard greens, rice and beans) were all subpar. Would go back and would recommend this place but would tell people to order certain foods and avoid others. Sauces were great, most food was average (aside from the delectable crab cakes), and the atmosphere and service were great.

What a great place for a lazy Sunday afternoon lunch? Great atmosphere and good pricing made it for an enjoyable meal. The only thing that bothered us was the waitress who seemed in a rush all the time, only taking appetizer order from one person and leaving. We waited till she came back to let her know what else to get. For appetizer try fried green tomatoes and for lunch have the flounder club sandwich (I saved half for another day). The view overlooking the river is beautiful especially since you can go for a walk on the dock afterwards.

This place has excellent dishes. We visited Saint Augustine last week from NY and we had diner at this place. Our server was a gentleman called Jason. He was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Next time we are in Florida, this will be our first stop for food. Keep it up back and front of the house teams!!!

I had high hopes, despite some questionable reviews. Unfortunately others who complained about service were right. It took forever to even be greeted once we were seated. This is a major pet peeve of mine. Our initial greeting was by someone who appeared to be a manager. Our server, when she finally showed, was less than friendly and had the enthusiasm of someone who would have rather been anywhere but where she was. We order the gator tail based on recommendations from other reviews. Bad decision. Heavy flavorless breading and the orange sauce was weird. Added salt and got a side of ranch which helped but not much. The bread basket pieces were average. The Datil cornbread was supposed to have some heat. Notsomuch. My beer was not cold. The salt in the salt shaker was chunky from humidity. Annoying and something they should know how to deal with given the location. I had the grilled mahi with Mac & cheese and collards. The mahi was good, no seasoning though but a little lemon & salt helped. Mac & cheese was good, not great. Collards were bitter. My mom had the shrimp & grits and said they were excellent. Her dinner salad was cheap iceberg lettuce and grocery store croutons. Overall just average. Not worth the drive.

Aunt Kate's is a must if you are in the area. The view of the water is beautiful. I loved the calm, quiet scenery of the water and boats. The food is just as wonderful. I ordered the fish tacos. The fish was blackened perfectly. The flavor was incredible. It's probably one of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Service was also very good. Definitely looking forward to going back when we visit again!

If you're looking for some quick seafood in a causal environment this is your place. Waitress was spectacular and very nice. Ability to sit on the deck and see the water. If you've traveled a long distance and are looking for fresh seafood this isn't your place. The price point will reflect that too.

We're new to boating in the St. Augustine area. If you are trying to decide between Aunt Kate's and another choice on the water in this area, choose another of the multiple places in the area. The food was mediocre and the service was slow. Nice view, wish the food was better.

Great location on the river and great seafood served in a historic place. Service was very good and friendly. My wife loved the bucket of steamed oysters she had to shuck. I got the seafood platter upgraded with Flounder and everything was delicious. I highly recommend Aunt Kate's.

Nice setting on the water, good parking, good drinks (well made), reasonable pricing, confortable seating, One of the best fried flounder dinners I have ever had. Our watitress (Brittany) was outstanding. Good guitar player live in their lounge. I will return again.

More than half of the tables were unoccupied yet the hostess gave us a pager, telling us that there would be an hour wait. No one seemed very friendly or helpful. Customers seemed to be a huge inconvenience. I suggest that this place downsize so that they can treat customers right. We didn't get a chance to try the food but I suspect it was just mediocre.

Went to Aunt Kate's with the family last night. Food was pretty good. Atmosphere, particularly outside, was nice. Inside was somewhat like a open cafeteria style floor plan. They did have a good solo guitarist singing good tunes. Major concern was the service. Very slow and somewhat disjointed. Never took away empty glasses, used bread plates or empty appetizer basket. We had 9 people in our party, 4 kids. We had a dozen empty glasses sit on our table by the end of the meal and that is not inclusive of those that we were drinking. We actually bundled them all in the center of the table just to see if the waitress would notice and take them away. Never did. After waiting almost 40 minutes, our salads finally came out.... with our food! Rediculous. Next time we will stick with Caps on the Water. Much better service, great atmosphere with solid food.

Beautiful dining on the back deck, great service(both nights we were there this week). Highs-shrimp and grits and the Grouper Oscar. Even on a busy night the wait staff and kitchen kept up. Decent prices, Kid and pet friendly. Not a huge fan of the conch fritters or hush puppies. The first visit, my husband had a baked piece of fish that was sitting in a bowl of something like butter. Order the shrimp and grits (I left off the gravy) and you will be happy. Shrimp over cheese grits with bacon and mushrooms on top. I ordered the early bird fried shrimp the 2nd night and it was pretty good as well. We were on our way to Caps the 2nd night and it was packed so we were happy to visit Aunt Kate's again.

When I'm out in my boat during the day I like to go here for lunch. Little slow on the service but tolerable. Tried to go for dinner with my family the other night. Went to check in at the front and was told it would be at least an hour wait! I replied that there was plenty of empty tables an hardly anyone waiting. She replied with the same "at least one hour wait". While walking back to the dock we counted 12 empty tables. Perhaps management should hire more staff. Who knows? Not worth the hassle to go back.

Staying in St. Augustine so we thought we'd give Aunt Kate's a try and glad we did. Being from the north we are trying to eat all the Fla shrimp we can. We split two crab cakes to warm up, they were great. My wife ordered the plate of shrimp and I had shrimp and grits. Both prepared right and served hot. The bread basket included corn bread, Johnny Cakes and pumpkin bread. Great atmosphere and on the water front. Given the chance we would return. Be sure to read the history of the place on the back of the menu. Our server, Scott, was only on the job 3 days and he handled everything like a pro. Friendly staff all 'round. We would have sat out on the deck to enjoy the view but we came to Fla during a week of rain/fog/mist and 60° days. Everyone has told us: "should have been here last week."

Ok food..under staffed, place 50% empty yet we waited 20 mins..our waitress was great...but you could tell stress of other wait staff who hurried around like crazy rats. We were youngest family there with baby and didn't feel as welcome, like we were a bother to wait staff and some older patrons with 2 year old that is active. Will not come back. We loved area but won't come here again until we are about 65...even then maybe not. Ambiance not friendly to young families. Dissatisfied!

We were visiting locals who brought us here for dinner. It was great to have a spot on the back porch to watch the sunset over the intercoastal with good food and plenty of room for the herd of kids to play. We did venture inside for the bathrooms and to see what the baseball scores were on the TVs by the bar. They bring out a bread basked and butter to start with Johnny Cakes, cornbread, and pumpkin bread (seasonal). All was tasty. I appreciated that the cornbread was a little spicy. Pumpkin bread was really good. The kids menu is mostly fried items, so we opted instead to order a side of cheese grits and a side of sweet potato fries for our toddler. He loved the grits and ate a decent amount of the sweet potato fries, which were crinkle cut. I think the crinkle cut added some nice texture and crispness to the few that I tried. I had the soft-shell crab sandwich with collard greens. The soft shell crab was great, though the ratio of bread to crab was larger than I liked, and I ended up leaving about a 3rd of the bread on the plate. The collards had great flavor, but were on the dry side. I'm used to having some pot likker to sop/soak up at the end, but there was none. Flavor was still enough that I'd order them again. Our server was friendly and helpful, and she kept the drinks, even the waters, full. Prices seemed pretty reasonable for the amount of food and the freshness of the seafood. There's also a pier where there are fishermen earlier in the day and live bait (we didn't see these folks, but the host family's daughters assured us of their entertainment value).

Neat place off the water where you can dock and have a bite to eat. There is a lot of competition close to this place, so I would rather come here because it more laid back . The corn fritters that come before the meal are awesome!

Great location and the service was fine. We had Mahi fish tacos that were excellent and the flounder poboy was just as good but a little too much bread for me. Next time will just get the fish alone. Hush puppies had an orange flavor that was fresh and added a new twist. We will be going back!

Food is good but the restaurant is very understaffed. Service is slow so make sure you plan for extra time and be prepared to wait a long time to place your order once you are seated. But the food is good once you get it.

Had a wonderful lunch here. The food was good and plentiful for the price. The only down side is that the server, Dawn P, never broke a smile the whole time she waited on us. Pity! Pretty location.

Fill up on bread and ask for a drink refill well before you need it. The service is awful here. Sitting here waiting for my food while the rest of the table is almost done with theirs. Update: my meatloaf was good but cold in the middle. On the plus side the mojitos are very good, and they comped my meal plus dessert for the table. Also everyone else at the table who had seafood said it was very good so I'm upgrading to 3 stars.

I've been here 4 or 5 times and gotten slow service more of the n than not and the food is really bad. Last visit I ordered wings and when they came it was obvious they were reheated from the previous day. I asked the waitress and she confirmed it. The atmosphere is great but not great enough to make up for the bad service and worse food.

The food was good. Had the gator tail for an appetizer very good. She crab soup was wonderful. I ordered the seafood platter blackened very large portion. we sat outside under the porch, very nice view. The service was slow, especially for a wed. Night. Would recommend them.

A great place for a cool evening dinner, overlooking the water. Casual southern food from fried chicken to shrimp and grits are a comfort to anyone who grew up in the south and a treat for anyone who didn't. The outside tables are picnic tables and very casual. Nothing too fancy about Aunt Kates except the view. It makes for a good casual dinner and a few drinks. They also have a great party tent for large events with a great view. Worth a try!

AWESOME! Had lunch with my 4 sisters and 3 nieces! Fried green tomatoes...AWESOME! She crab soup...AWESOME. Soft shell crab sandwich...AWESOME! Pickled beets...AWESOME! Loved it! Perhaps the Low Country Boil for dinner?

Beautiful location and beautiful restaurant... BUT I have been several times and the food is inconsistent and the service lacks severely. The menu isn't very extensive. Calamari is decent. I've had relatives ask for mahi and were given tilapia. Hopeful every time for better food and service due to the atmosphere.

When first greeted by the hostess, we asked if the restaurant was able to accommodate 2 patrons who are on a gluten free diet. Most restaurants will try to work with us even if they don't have a gluten free menu. It's fairly easy for the wait staff to run concerns by the chef and most restaurants seem happy to do so. This hostess said she had no idea what a gluten free diet is and we were on our own if we wished to stay. Since the menu included items that looked like they would work for us, we asked to be seated. And we sat and we sat and we sat. No one came over to ask about drinks or to take our orders. Other people came in after us and were brought drinks. After quite a while, we left without ordering. Perhaps the food's good but the service is TERRIBLE! I would avoid this place!

Almost didn't go to Aunt Kate's because of the other reviews. SO GLAD I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY! Family-style restaurant with a wide selection of entrees. Started off with a cup of Minorcan chowder...yum! Had one of the specials of the day, Mahi Poblano. Absolutely delicious! The service was great, prices reasonable ($8-$10/less than comparable entrees at The Reef), generous portions. And, of course, you can't beat the view! Would definitely recommend.

This is just what you want and expect in a Florida seafood restaurant. You're right on the water (great sunset view on a clear day), great seafood, very friendly service, and good prices. The seafood is just like it should be: simple and no weird sauces or entree combos, I had the blackened shrimp, black beans & rice, and cheese grits. I was hungry and still was barely able to finish my meal. Meals come with a basket of pumpkin bread and jalapeno corn bread. Top it off with a glass of sweet tea and it reminded me how much seafood "up north" (from FL and live in DC now) just isn't the same. If you're a Floridian you'll enjoy this place, if you're a tourist this is just the kind of Florida seafood place you need to check out.

Had potential to be a great meal. We had fantastic seating outside on the river with a great two-person band playing. Unfortunately we had an extremely unhelpful and at times rude server. He basically lied about how the flounder would be served. He took way too long to bring over drinks and food and made it seem as though we were inconveniencing him by asking if he had forgotten them. None of the meals, including a couple of the specials, were anything special and typically very plain. I hope this review does not come off sounding as though i am a demanding customer, as I am typically very easy to please. But when I am playing decent money I do not want to feel as though I am being rude by asking for another drink. Gratuity was automatically included as well which made me even more upset because this server did not deserve that kind of a tip.

I was visiting family near St Augustine and we literally used internet reviews and on line menus to choose Aunt Kate's and I'm so glad we did. The service was casual and friendly, our server made great recommendations, and everyone loved their meals. My mom tried shrimp and grits for the first time and Aunt Kate's set the bar pretty high. The fried green tomatoes weren't the best we've ever had (Dinosaur BBQ, Syracuse NY), but they were very good and the key lime sauce was a lovely accompaniment. Fish tacos were excellent and the catch of the day, flounder, was fresh and well-prepared. The gorgeous sunset over the waterway was a nice bonus.

I gotta say that this place is all about waterfront atmosphere. The food while being good, is not to die for especially if you are a diehard foodie. This place is about waterfront dining and a chance to catch a glimpse of some manatees swimming by. I had the crab cakes and they were on the bland side and my beautiful wife had the pulled pork that was nothing to write home about especially after experiencing Mojo Old City BbQ last night. The crab cakes had very large chunks of onion and green bell pepper, you can't taste the crab. Kraft style Mac and cheese and a sweet potato casserole that was nothing more than mashed sweet potatoes. This was our last hoorah lunch before ending our weekend getaway and while the view was astonishing we wished we had ended on a higher note food wise.

I have never submitted a Yelp review prior to this, but I felt like after my experience today I needed to start. Had guests in from out of town and wanted them to have a nice waterfront dining experience. Arrived at 1:25 on a Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately at a very nice table outside. After receiving our drinks we placed our order and patiently waited for our food. At about 20 minutes, the waiter stopped by to say the food would be out shortly. After 40 minutes, I had to go find the waiter and ask if he could check on our food. He abruptly told me he just checked and the kitchen was slammed. We overheard another table being told that the kitchen was behind because of a 15 top table that ordered. We never saw our waiter again. After an hour, the table next to us (different waiter) who was seated after us finally got their food. That was the final straw for us. We couldn't even find our waiter to let him know we were leaving. I gave a waitress a $20 bill to cover our soft drinks and 2 cups of soup that were delivered and we left. I understand that this can happen, but at the very least I would have appreciated a table touch from a manager or even our own waiter to give us an update. Probably lost a guest forever.

My family that lives in the area suggested lunch at Aunt Kate's. Most of my family ordered the various seafood baskets. I ordered the Grilled Fish Tacos that came with two sides. The portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. The fish tacos were delicious as well as my sides (beets and potatoes). We sat outside overlooking the water. Nice local St. Augustine for great seafood. P.S. Looks like we were lucky and had a great server.

Nothing but hype. The food was sub par, bland and no flavor. It took forever to get a table when the place had so many empty tables around. The waitress was brusque and not paying attention, brought the wrong order twice. Never will go to this place again. I'd rather burn some gas and go to Boondocks in Daytona to get my sea food fix.

After a long day touring St. Augustine, we were hungry and were searching for a place to eat. Acting like typical tourists (which we had done for the past hour walking through touristy Spanish Quarter eating touristy food,) we grabbed a magazine to look for a restaurant while I searched Yelp for some good places. I discovered Aunt Kate's and immediately pointed it out to my grandmother because she had an Aunt Kate who was very close to her. We immediately settled on it and drove over to it. The drive was a bit longer than I expected but it was nice because I asked for something off the beaten path. We drove over the bridge onto a barrier island. We drove north as we began to see fewer and fewer beach homes. I felt that I was going into the wilds of Florida until we found the road we wanted. We drove to the left and found a nice cove where Aunt Kates sat waiting for us. We got ourselves a nice seat overlooking the tranquil and beautiful Florida waters. My Grandmother had to look all over the place because of the name Aunt Kate which was fine. We then ordered some of the corn bread and the corn bread was very delicious!!! I highly recommend it. Then for appetizer I chose the fried calamari because I have loved calamari since I was six. Then again though, I usually had calamari at Italian restaurants in California where I am from but I wanted to try the authentic Florida style. It was good as expected. Then my Aunt and I ordered the grilled combo platter which was just as good as the rest of the food. We had shrimp, scallops and crabcakes. Who knew seafood could taste so good? The shrimp's tails were not trimmed which wasn't something I was crazy about but I still had them and enjoyed them. The crabcakes were great too and I was never crazy about crabs before but now I really like them. After Aunt Kates, we drove further north up the road as the houses became larger and sparser. Then we stopped and saw a castlelike structure. My Aunt just had to get a photo with it so we did. We could have driven further but we wanted to get back to the ghost tours (which I will discuss in a future review.) Overall, it was such a scenic and memorable trip! My final words on Aunt Kates is that this place was the real Florida, the old Florida before high rises came along and changed the place. It was connected with the ocean, it was authentic, not plastic and truly native to Florida. It gave me a real taste of Florida, the Florida I had been searching to find. It also had a few southern elements of the restaurant along the water with the mysterious oaks looming over it. I highly recommend this place as somewhere to escape the hubbub and touristy attributes of St. Augustine. I also recommend taking a drive along the ocean, find a deserted beach, take a swim for awhile, maybe you'll see the castle building I found. It's the real Florida, feel free to bask in it.

Good atmosphere but less than average fare. My sweet husband and I travel to St. Augustine quite frequently and aunt Kate's is often on our dining list. But after this trip, I think aunt Kate's will have to be replaced. The view and service are always good but the food has been declining in quality and this time it was just wasn't good at all. The crab cakes had such large pieces of green pepper and onion in them that they just weren't edible and the BBQ seemed like it was bought off the back of a food service truck and not fresh made. The sides of sweet potato casserole and Mac and cheese were very plain and also lacked the home made touch. We were quite disappointed and will likely not be back on our next trip. Sorry Kate.

I guess when I learned that the fresh catch was farm raised Tilapia I should have moved on. But, instead I figured I was safe with the rainbow trout. I ordered it with a salad and mashed sweet potatoes my dinner mate ordered the ribs with mashed potatoes. The salad was good, but the blue cheese dressing was bland with no chunks of blue cheese to be found. Then the entree came, the trout was floating in oil, the mushrooms served with it were from a can and the first bite included a fish bone. The mashed sweet potatoes burnt on top were obviously microwaved and barely warm. The ribs were the same with the potatoes at least real potatoes but both seemed microwaved and barely warm. If this were a $10.00 meal I wouldn't be surprised. But, for approximately $20.00 per entree I expect fresh ingredients not canned and microwaved. Also, the cornbread they served was so very dry it could not have been fresh-baked. Such a pretty location and a sad disappointment.

Wow we have waited to come here and finally got there on a very rainy day. The food was awesome, I had the fish tacos and thought no way could I eat all of them, but I made room as they were wonderful. Three out of Four loved their meal, the fourth ordered shrimp and grits and did not care for the gravy on the top - would suggest you order gravy on the side to enjoy the meal. definitely WILL REVISIT.

Unfortunately for us, this was probably our last time going there (at least for a while). Food and Ambiance is decent but the service just lacks structure and consistency. It seems every time we go, we are left unattended at the table. Tonight we had to go find the server 3 separate occasions. They really were not busy but just seems to be a lack of leadership.

Atmosphere was fun and relaxed (we sat out on the deck by the water). Food was average and service was snappy. Try their house hot sauce... It's pretty good!

The view is lovely. The food, not so much. The shrimp and grits was runny and tasted mostly of bacon. In fact, most everything we had was full of bacon including The Minorchan chowder. Will not go back.

I'm not really sure where to start. I can positively say that I've never had quite a dining experience like I had at Aunt Kate's. Let me paint a picture of this experience. I first found Aunt Kate's on the web by googling St. Augustine's best restaurants. I decided to go there after reading some reviews, and the French restaurant we wanted to go to was booked for the evening. Upon walking in, the first thing that came to mind was "this is a little lower-middle-class", but I realize that good seafood restaurants don't always have classy decor, so I ignored my first thought. That was a huge mistake . . . We first ordered the Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomatoes. Having lived in Maryland, I can honestly say I'm not sure it was actually a crab cake at all. It was kind of like a seafood mush mixed with bread crumbs and large chunks of green onion (which was a welcome taste after suffering through the mushy tasteless "cake"). The Fried Green Tomatoes were bland and the dipping sauce was some sort of amorphous white sauce (also used for the Crab Cakes btw) that is analogous to the brown sauce you find at a crappy chinese take-out place. I then said to my friend (in embarrassment) "hey, maybe the entrees will be better . . ." Mistake number #. I ordered the mixed seafood and he ordered the scallops. I can say they were the worst tasting scallops, shrimp, and fish I've ever had. Mind you, I've never eaten rotten or bad seafood, and this wasn't either, but it was so unbelievably bland and mushy that it tasted like they had been frozen for a year and left out for a few days before cooking. They were awful. As for the sides, my cheese grits and collard greens weren't any better. The grits had no flavor, and aside from the fact that they were orange, I wasn't sure they had cheese in them. The collard greens were dry and just . . . awful . . . I grew up in the south and I can say they were the worst collard greens I've ever had. Next, I looked at my friend and said "Ok, I'm cool with just leaving if you are." He agreed and we told them we had to leave due to an emergency. We paid our check and left the rest of the food on the table; then proceeded to drive to the Raintree and get a decent meal. I can say in all of my years of going to restaurants, I've never walked out without finishing a majority of the meal. I am still shocked at how bad the quality of the food was. Even the cornbread and spice cakes they gave us were no better than the Jiffy or Duncan Hines mix you make at home. Just awful. Please save yourself the suffering and don't go there.

Check out the specials first. Oysters were very fresh and fried perfectly! Large portions and great service. Try the Menorcan favorites. Great find out of downtown St. Augustine!

We like the look and the outdoor seating on the river. However, the food was average fried seafood. All the sides we had (potatoes wedges, mac and cheese, collard greens, red potatoes) were meh. In fact, the only thing we liked, and the reason we gave 2 instead of one star, was the cornbread. I have a weakness for good cornbread.

I have been there 4 times and I think the food is great. I especially love the shrimp. Very fresh and tender. Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful. It's clean and the service was good.

Wasn't sure what to expect as we drove up to the restaurant. We were looking for a casual place to eat a quick dinner before a wedding gathering on a Friday night. We were seated immediately inside - that was ok because it was a little humid outside. Drinks were ordered - the bourbon and coke a friend ordered was more bourbon than coke, my glass of wine was a hefty pour which was good for $10 and the beers were a nice cold temperature. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and those were pretty good - I was intrigued by the key lime mayo served with it. Turns out, it was a good decision. I also ordered the Ahi Tuna appetizer - I wish I had stuck with just the tomatoes. The tuna was not that great of quality and the piece that i had on the plate was not cut with a sharp knife - it was all stringy and stuck together. The fried chicken tenders and fried alligator that others in my group ordered were overly doughy thus making it more fried batter than the actual piece of meat. Every one at my table though was a fan of the drinks and the fried green tomatoes. It was a casual experience but I may not return; if I do, I will stick with drinks or order something else.

Came here w my parents who are locals, husband and infant daughter for special evening out. We were looking forward to a relaxing evening meal in casual outdoor setting. Our server, a young dark haired girl w serious attitude problem, ruined it for us. Such a shame as the what appeared to be more veteran staff there seemed lovely and the view was great. We inquired about happy hour and apparently you have to order drinks at the empty bar to get happy hour prices. This was not the case during my parents many other visits here. When I asked if we could just order the drinks at bar and bring back to an outdoor table when we were ready to eat, she just stared me down as if she was about to bite my head off and rolled her eyes. Alas we ordered our drinks from her and payed the requisite full price. She took ages to check back on us even though we were one of two tables in the entire place. When we did ask for assistance she refused to help us w a simple request or even help out when a glass of water spilled. I could go on and on about her rudeness but will move on to food. Meals were decent. She crab soup was excellent. My mahi (fish of day) sandwich was a bit over salted, black beans and rice were awful and over cooked. I tried the st Augustine style fried shrimp which were good. Everyone was just taken back by our server's chip on shoulder that we didn't truly have a chance to enjoy the meal overall. Her attitude put us off so much so that we all decided not to come back.

A good overall restaurant and a good value. Great for kids and very affordable kids menu. You need to know what to order. The mahi mahi is fresh as is the shrimp. The salad and dressing is excellent. However, the oysters are not fresh and brought in - don't order. The crab cakes are also not great. Great view with a boat ramp next store.

I had heard about this place from a couple friends (good things, for that matter) and we were in the mood to try something new. The view is amazing, as many others have mentioned....the food however leaves a LOT to be desired. The bread basket got rave reviews from my wife and kids. I wouldn't know -- not a bread eater. Wife got the she-crab chowder that was good for about two bites and then the salt kicks in...it's like "would you like some chowder with that salt?" I got the low country boil -- mussels, clam, shrimp, snow crab, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. A platter of seafood in a seafood restaurant, should be pretty good, right? Wrong! The shrimp were REALLY over-cooked, the melted butter tasted really funny (maybe it was margarine or something?), the clams were rubbery, mussels were boiled to such an extent that they had little flavor, snow crab was good, but then you dipped it in the butter and it ruined it. The shrimp cocktail sauce looked home made and it was really good -- almost good enough to cover up the over-cooked shrimp. Crawfish really took in the flavor of the funny butter, so I'm not sure if they were any good or not. I didn't eat the corn or potatoes, but they both looked really overdone, too. My son got the fried shrimp and they were OK -- no Barnacle Bills or O'Steens. We might be back to test out some other menu items, just because of the location. The kids had a great time playing outside and burned up some of their energy. Maybe something else will impress, next time. Our bill for two adults (one of which only got soup) and two kids was $50 with the tip. Pretty pricey, I thought...

I had lunch at Aunt Kate's today and enjoyed my meal but I wasn't blown away. The view on the outside deck was spectacular on a gorgeous day. The bread basket was yummy as were the fried shrimp, which were tender with a light, flaky breading. The fries accompanying them were pretty forgettable, however. I also got the she crab chowder as an appetizer. The seasoning was excellent and there was plenty of crab, but I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to she crab soup or chowder. Minced or very finely diced onion and celery is okay, carrot and corn is not. But that's just my personal taste and I know others will love the chowder. The prices were very reasonable and my waiter, Aaron, was attentive and helpful without hovering. I would definitely go back to Aunt Kate's for the view, the service, and that delicious bread basket alone.

This used to be a great place, when it first started out. I was less than impressed. I've had larger fish sandwiches from street vendors and their side offerings leave a LOT to be desired. We went for Father's day, no lines or waits at 11:30 AM, so we get there, get seated and the waitress keeps hounding us to order appetizers, almost like she gets paid more for the apps she sells. We decline, we're good. So we order, simple items and salads for our entrees, I ordered a fish sandwich. The only side besides cole slaw is french fries. I swear I have had a larger piece of fish at a street vendor in St. Augustine, for $9, my fish was smaller than a child's hand. My brother had the same size for his Caesar salad. Pathetic. It took about 20 minutes for the waitress to come and drop off the check and another 20 to get the check back, as business had picked up, but was not so busy that they could not come and get us taken care of. In our entire visit, no manager, on Father's day, ever asked us how our meal was, no one who was in charge. My advice, pass on Aunt Kate's for the summer, go to Cap's. Their prices may be higher, but they have better management and more selections available.

I had heard about Aunt Kate's from a local boat captain friend of mine and had wanted to try it out. (Boat captains know their seafood.) The inital trip was funny as I must have passed by the, rather unassuming, sun faded sign 3 times before I actually realized where I needed to go. Let me just say I am so glad I did find Aunt Kate's because I truly enjoyed everything about the place! Atmosphere: Parking was good and to kick off our visit we were greeted by a very charming lady playing some beautiful guitar music outside on the front patio. This was a very pleasant start to this Foodie's dining experience at Aunt Kate's. The interior was very clean, with nice woods. But the deck has a pretty spectacular view of the water. We went at sunset and it was almost magical over the water. In addition to the beautiful sunset the wildlife was giving us a show as well. There were ducks swimming around the dock, a lot of indigenous birds flying around, and the dolphins were out and about frolicking for our dining entertainment as well. And yes, there is room for you to pull up your boat to the dock. Staff: Very fast, efficient and friendly! Our server was great and gave us a lot of attention. I love this kind of pampered customer interaction. Food: I love their breadbasket with homemade Jalapeno Cornbread! Yum. The She Crap soup made me want to order another to take home. And the Grilled Seafood Platter was a good portion grilled, not charred, to perfection. This dish was very tasty - shrimp, scallops, fish and crab cakes (Delish!). They also have a very creative alcohol infused fruit smoothie section that is definitely worth sampling on a hot day. Prices: I think for the location, the portion size and seafood selection the prices are extremely reasonable! The prices are considerable lower than the neighboring restaurant, Cap's on the Water. Good food, great view, good prices! Definitely worth a trip out to the Vilano Beach area to check it out.

Come for the view, stay for the seafood. Definitely can't say enough about the view. As the sun set and the stars came up over the water, it was certainly a treat. The waitress was nice and game for a joke, the datil cornbread was crumby (the good kind, not crummy) and spicy, and my meal was passably good scallops (next time I'd get them blackened; that was my own fault). We weren't too hungry after being ambushed by huge portions at lunch, but it was a nice place to be on the first night of my trip where it wasn't blowing 15 knots. I'd look into something fried next time though.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant they where not open the last time we where in Florida not sure why it seemed odd that a restaurant next door was opened and crowded and The sign on the Road looked like it was written on a cardboard box with a spray can? Anyway .... It does have a great view. However, I wasn't as impressed with the food And you cannot eat the view! I ordered the maple glazed salmon. My wife had some kind of wrap that she nor I remember what kind it was... Very impressive. My salmon was not good at all. It had no taste of maple or any glaze at all. It was topped with some kind of pineapple salsa that was not very tasty so I scraped it off. It came with two sides and I got the sweet potato fries and cheese grits. The sweet potato fries were good but the grits had no taste of cheese and were kinda thick. I was going to order the green bean casserole but the server quickly told me it was not good ! My wife's wrap was not very good and she left half of it on the plate. We where also served a basket of cornbread and some kind of muffin. The muffin was ok but I didn't like the cornbread very very sweet There was also some sort of flat cornbread cakes. They were a little greasy. I'm not sure I would try this place again.... Normally during this type of " meal" I would have spoke to the manager but,we had to hurry back to town before Hazels hot dogs closed for the evening..

Disappointing. Took my family here for a fathers day lunch. The view was super, as we were seated outside and he weather was perfect. Service was not good, in fact having to hunt the waiter down more than once. Food was not that great either. Both the fish and corn bread cakes were overcooked, chicken fingers were soggy even though there wasn't any garnish on the plate and it was forever long for our food. Won't be back.

I've been here a few times, and the service has always been very friendly. Last time I went with three younger kids, and our server, Randy, was great with them. The food was delicious, varied, and reasonably priced. Everyone lived the fried mozzarella, which they make fresh. They also accommodated my picky eater daughter by making her something not on the menu (it was just plain pasta, so not a huge deal, but some places won't do it). We had an outside table, and got to watch the sun set during dinner, which was pretty spectacular.

The food was very good - the waitress a disaster. We were not seated yet and she came over and said what r u drinking, I said give us a minute please, 2 seconds later again r ready to order - so we order drinks. She said what about food, I said we need to see the menu. Brought our drinks and disappeared, after I asked for her she came to take our order; did not know what the market price of the fish was, I aksed her can she please find out, she said are you sure you want to order that, we said first we want to know what the price is. She rolled her eyes and left with an attitude. we order our food and we wait. We never got the bread, the salad came first, I asked about our appetizer she said it is coming; so then our appetizer came, still no bread that I asked for, she came back immediately with dinner; I said we are not ready for diiner, we just got our appetizer, she had an attitude like it was our fault. I made her take the diinners back and I said when we are ready, we want fresh ones not reheated. I told her we were ready, she brought our out dinner, never removed the appetizer plates, we had steamed oysters and lots of stuff on the table. I called her over and asked her to please remove the plates, she did with an attitude and still no bread. I insisted and she brought over the basket towards the end of the meai. If she does not want to work, she should not be there. the oysters were very good, shrimp and grits delicious and ribs were outstanding and the price was good - but she was horrible.

it's ok food. Gater meat was decent but heavily fried. Pasta was not the best. She crab chowder was too salty. My side salad was brownish...and the waitress got confused with my dressing inquiry of vinaigrette so brought me just balsamic vinegar. Oy!

We were visiting Saint Augustine for the first time. Checked out the restaurant magazines and found this place. It sounded good on paper... The place looked cute from the outside. We opted to sit outside since it was decent weather. One cool thing was that they built the outside patio around an old oak tree instead of cutting it down. That was nice. Wish the food was as nice. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was disgusting. There was more fat in the sandwich than meat. I had to sift through it to get whatever little meat there was so I could eat something. The bread was that Texas toast which is too big for a sandwich in my opinion. The BBQ sauce was ok, but the meat/fat mixture was far too over sauced. I was extremely disappointed and would NEVER go back. On a lighter note, the cheese grits were quite good. I will give them that ! My wife had the shrimp & grits. She said they were good, but too much sauce. The sauce overpowered the grits and the grits were so good, so that's a shame. Bottom line... no thanks. Oh and we had a new waitress, so no, I did not complain as I was just over it... She was nice and it wasn't her fault that the food was terrible.

In a historic St. Augustine home overlooking a serene intracoastal waterway, Aunt Kate's, recently opened, is serving up really great and unique American comfort food in a relaxing, friendly setting. Their menu finds a good stride between the comfortable and the original, and seems to specialize in traditional Floridian fare with a few unique twists. Appetizers are a pleasing range of fried fare, from the chewy sweetness of gator tail (not for me, but I did try it) to big, tasty onion rings to thick-crusted fried green tomatoes. The specialty salad vinaigrette is a mandarin orange flavor, adding a very complimentary sweet taste to their selection of salads. My chosen dish to sample, the baked Rottini, was a perfect blend of the kind of light meal one can work at while sitting back and sharing a conversation, and the starchy, fill-your-gut heaviness of pasta. The waitstaff at the moment is friendly and attentive, unafraid to share a laugh or to jump into their recommendations and opinions on the different dishes available. Despite a good-sized menu (the available side dishes are a menagerie in themselves), they show no qualm or break in stride as they serve an already busy establishment. As the restaurant hits its stride and their jobs lose the polish, they might jade over, but for now they're worth the fifth star.

Stopped in because Cap's was closed. Had a decent meal of she-crab soup, blackened Mahi sandwich. Nothing special, but then again - prices are reasonable, service is good, they have a bar. Also, pretty location. Husband had fried catfish sandwich - also good, nothing special. Totally solid place to grab a bite. Warning - bring your OFF, there are a lot of mosquitoes here.

My wife and I love this place. The views of the intracoastal waterway are to die for. We always get the St Augustine grilled shrimp which is generally the best we get here (we are locals). We've found that lunch is usually the best time to come. All the wait staff, save for one, are friendly and attentive. The prices are about the best around. Nothing fancy or uppity, just good food good prices and great outdoor seating.

I have eaten there twice. I hated the first time I went there, but figured I would give them a second chance. The food is average. Not worth over looking the servers bad attitudes. Both times I have been there, the servers have treated us as though we were beneath them and that we were an inconvenience. I asked for water twice then I went to the bar to get it myself. I even had to ask for a menu. It is really sad because the resturant has potential but I will not go back.

I took a visit here recently (yesterday, actually) with my Grandparents who are Floridians. They love eating by the water, and a friend of their's mention this particular restaurant. Now, what I liked: Excellent waiter, beautiful location, and great Fish Tacos with Mahi-Mahi. What I didn't like was: no real ambience, not everyone (from my party of five) really enjoyed their meals, and it took nearly fifteen minutes to get a waiter. The place at the time we arrived was not that busy at all, was what bothered me most about that last quam. Why Four stars you ask? When the waiter did arrive, he had an excellent attitude, and had to have been one of the more professional waiters I have ever seen. I was very glad we stopped by at the end of the night, and watching the sunset that day from the docks was just the cherry on top.

I love this place. I'm staying in the Vilano Beach area for the winter and just discovered that Aunt Kate's is within walking distance. The atmosphere is 100% Florida, the outdoor seating is relaxed and casual... I really liked the big front porch (very inviting). The kids had a fun time walking on the fishing pier and eating the fried alligator horderve.

Aunt Kate's wasn't too far from the historic area, and we were glad to have the chance to see a different side of St. Augustine. The patio was full, so we sat inside, and the decor is really lacking. The food was good. I had a seafood combo, and we ordered gator tail as an appetizer. It was good, tasted fresh, etc. Our server was horrible, but she was either new, or just not a personable person.

This place was a nice getaway from the main historic district of St. Augustine. We were able to take a boat and tie up on their floating dock, but you can obviously get their by car as well. I went for lunch with 6 people and didn't have to wait at all. We each got something different and everyone loved what they got. The gator tail was great!!!

aunt kate's is great! we've experienced this adorable place on the water three times and were never dissapointed. our daughter was getting married in st augustine and this was the perfect get-away. the restaurant was clean and new. the service was great every time. the food was fresh, the portions were more than adequate and the price very fair. we will be back as much for the atmosphere as all the above. definitely a must go!! rebecca r

The she crab soup was phenomenal, the alligator tails were very tasty. Our server was very friendly and was prompt with service. However, the Mahi mahi was very dry. I wouldn't recommend the fried oysters they were mediocre compared to other places. Overall it is a good restaurant.

Don't waste your time. Food was not very good and for $20 you get a grilled platter with 4 shrimp, 4 small scallops, a small piece of fish and a small crab cake. Also, don't think you can use the 10% discount coupon they have in the ads. They took it at the beginning of our meal and said it was fine. When we went to pay they said we could not use the coupon because we had one beer at happy hour. The coupon does not state that there are any exclusions and they would not let us use it for the dinner items we purchased.

Aunt Kate's is a family-style seafood restaurant built where Oscar's Old Florida Grill (which was destroyed by a fire) stood in Vilano Beach. The food options are plenty and reflect a family owned Florida seafood restaurant. Initially we sat outside but as the temp started to get cooler as we waited for our server, we went inside. For a Wednesday night, they were fairly busy---could be from all the spring break visitors. After we ordered, our bread basket came with some banana bread, corn bread, and a few hoecakes. The corn bread had a green pepper flavor which could have been better if served warmed. The hoecakes with ice cold and burnt. I am a sucker for Fried Green Tomatoes. Six came in an order. They were perfectly cooked--not soggy, not burnt, right amount of crispy to them. And the sauce they served paired perfect. I ordered the fish sandwich--blackened with sweet potato fries. The number of side options are awesome; corn on the cob, baked beans, fries, coleslaw, vegetable medley, mac n' cheese, collard greens...and the list goes on. The blackened seasoning was a great flavor--not overly powering. The portion of my fish was fairly large. It was a little dry and served on your basic hamburger bun so the fish spent more time falling on my plate. My wife ordered the Pork Chops--which we found out takes a little longer to cook so expect an added wait time. She wasn't expecting to very large chops (we ended up taking one home). She got the vegetable medley and the mac n' cheese as a side. Entrees get two sides (my sandwich only gets one side). Our service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and followed up with us at the perfect amount of times. She refilled our sodas when needed and was attentive as she could be. She had a table on the other side of the room and some tables outside. My suggestion is that they need to station their servers in consolidated areas. Overall, the food was fair to good and the service was good. I think once they get the kinks of a new restaurant out things will be a little better for them. If you want some basic florida cuisine, I would suggest going here if you are on Vilano--save yourself a trip back to the main land.

Two of our dishes had hair in them. We suggested to the waitress that she let the kitchen know, and they should wear hair nets or hats. She came back and said she couldn't offer a discount because we DID NOT SAVE the hair. We didn't even suggest a discount. Maybe some people do this for a free meal, but probably not a 50 year executive with wife and children. This defensive attitude made a bad situation worse. I told the waitress that our first reaction was not to save the disgusting hair but to get rid of it right away. God only knows what other unhealthy practices go on in their kitchen. Stay away.

My favorite place. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Casual and fun! Great view, sit outside.

(4)Robert R.

(5)Jill B.
Fantastic!!! Loved their mahi tacos!!! So nice to sit on the intercostal. We will definitely be back!
(5)Meredith C.

(3)Bett F.
We're new to boating in the St. Augustine area. If you are trying to decide between Aunt Kate's and another choice on the water in this area, choose another of the multiple places in the area. The food was mediocre and the service was slow. Nice view, wish the food was better.
(2)Bill F.
Great location on the river and great seafood served in a historic place. Service was very good and friendly. My wife loved the bucket of steamed oysters she had to shuck. I got the seafood platter upgraded with Flounder and everything was delicious. I highly recommend Aunt Kate's.
(5)Paul C.
Nice setting on the water, good parking, good drinks (well made), reasonable pricing, confortable seating, One of the best fried flounder dinners I have ever had. Our watitress (Brittany) was outstanding. Good guitar player live in their lounge. I will return again.
(4)Jax C.
Food is pretty good and portions are generous. Pretty nice view of the intracoastal. Pet friendly area off the main deck.
(4)Edd S.

(1)Janie M.
(4)Jeffrey S.
(2)Jim B.
Had dinner at Kate's and it was outstanding. We had the grilled shrimp and shrimp and grits and they were superior. Justin was our server and was incredible. Great food and wonderful service!!
(5)Jim H.
(5)Janelle L.
(2)Angela M.
(4)Bryan W.
Neat place off the water where you can dock and have a bite to eat. There is a lot of competition close to this place, so I would rather come here because it more laid back . The corn fritters that come before the meal are awesome!
(4)Public B.
Lunch on the patio, have the fresh catch and a bowl of menorcan chowder and watch the world go by.
(5)Debby M.
Great location and the service was fine. We had Mahi fish tacos that were excellent and the flounder poboy was just as good but a little too much bread for me. Next time will just get the fish alone. Hush puppies had an orange flavor that was fresh and added a new twist. We will be going back!
(4)James W.
Food is good but the restaurant is very understaffed. Service is slow so make sure you plan for extra time and be prepared to wait a long time to place your order once you are seated. But the food is good once you get it.
(3)Elizabeth G.
Beautiful location with food that has improved a lot. Great fried oysters, fantastic fried mushrooms, and the best gator tail ever (pounded and lightly fried).
(4)Libby A.
We had a wonderful dinner! The specials were what caught everyone's attention. The seafood was super fresh and cooked well. We sat outside on the deck, which was lit up with lights in the trees. Aunt Kate's definitely exceeded my expectations!!
(5)Janet A.
Had a wonderful lunch here. The food was good and plentiful for the price. The only down side is that the server, Dawn P, never broke a smile the whole time she waited on us. Pity! Pretty location.
(4)Heather H.
(3)Alan B.
(2)Bob K.
The food was good. Had the gator tail for an appetizer very good. She crab soup was wonderful. I ordered the seafood platter blackened very large portion. we sat outside under the porch, very nice view. The service was slow, especially for a wed. Night. Would recommend them.
(4)Jay O.
(4)Kay B.
AWESOME! Had lunch with my 4 sisters and 3 nieces! Fried green tomatoes...AWESOME! She crab soup...AWESOME. Soft shell crab sandwich...AWESOME! Pickled beets...AWESOME! Loved it! Perhaps the Low Country Boil for dinner?
(5)Shari S.
(1)Ben W.
We have eaten here multiple times every time it's just as awesome as before. Also a great venue for parties as we had our wedding reception there last night. It's a great place for any style dining experience!!!
(5)Karen C.
(1)Sue H.
(4)Minnie M.
I eat at Aunt Kate's at least twice a week and have had nothing but good service and good food. Highly recommend it.
(4)David H.
(4)Dave D.
(2)Pamela H.
(5)R. G.
(3)Gail H.
Wow! Just what we were looking for..non chain restaurant w good food at reasonable prices. Being a little out of the way and on water made it even better!
(5)Rich G.
(1)ZANNE K.
(4)Barbara W.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, wonderful service. A must stop if you are in the area!
(5)Jared S.
My family always eats at Aunt Kate's instead if the other restaurants in the area because the pricing is better for what you get. I love the blackened fish tacos.
(4)Aerin F.
Great view & atmosphere! Service was good. Food was just okay & pricey. Nothing special but edible. The bread basket was good though :)
(3)Bob O.
Great atmosphere, an staff. Food was a good value although nothing on the menu seemed to be exceptional. The view is great, the food and drinks are good. Great place to spend an afternoon or evening.
(4)Sivam R.

Sorry Kate.
(2)Marie D.

(4)Mark W.
(2)Ed B.
Atmosphere was fun and relaxed (we sat out on the deck by the water). Food was average and service was snappy. Try their house hot sauce... It's pretty good!
(3)Chuck W.
BAD FOOD.. crab cakes bad broiled seafood BOILED no flavor ahi tuna ...not seered... grill not hot? service good and nice people. just bad food
(1)Agnes A.

(1)Daniel W.
Check out the specials first. Oysters were very fresh and fried perfectly! Large portions and great service. Try the Menorcan favorites. Great find out of downtown St. Augustine!
(5)James T.
(2)Lynn J.
I have been there 4 times and I think the food is great. I especially love the shrimp. Very fresh and tender. Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful. It's clean and the service was good.
(5)Emily H.

Great view, mushroom appetizer is a winner. Love the key lime mojito!!!

Good food and great water view!

Food is mediocre. The view is outstanding.I love to sit on deck and have an appetizer and beverage

Stay away.
